To a workplace, increasing diversity means moving the needle in a positive direction toward creating well represented candidate pools, equitable hiring processes, and inclusive workplace environments where employees can grow and feel a deep sense of belonging. To an individual, increasing diversity means representation. It is about taking chances on ourselves and navigating inequities to reach for more in our career. We continue to be proud of the work that individuals and workplaces are doing to increase diversity around the globe. 

This is why we're excited to announce our 2023 Increase Diversity™ Awards recognizing workplaces moving the needle to increase diversity and promote a culture of inclusion AND individuals from historically underrepresented backgrounds who bet on themselves daily while journeying to the top of their profession - both inside and outside of the workplace.

This year, the Increase Diversity™ Awards includes two categories:

 
 

Increase Diversity™ Employer of Choice Award

This award recognizes the top workplaces taking effective action toward increasing diversity through hiring and retention programs, leader and employee education and training, and workplace culture initiatives. 

Consideration for awards include: 

  • Companies that are moving the needle in the right direction.

  • Companies awarded this designation will be a mix of company size, revenue, and whether it is for/non-profit. 

Top Organizations to receive the “Employer of Choice” award will be honored with:

  • Certificate of Recognition 

  • A special gift from Team JTC

  • Marketing and branding by JTC as an “Employer of Choice” among historically underrepresented populations 

  • Increase Diversity™ Award: Employer of Choice badge/seal to use on your workplace’s website, career page, job descriptions, social media, email signatures, etc. 

  • Spotlight  feature in the a Increase Diversity™ Newsletter

  • A chance to network with “Bet on Yourself” award recipients 

  • A chance to understand the collective best practices from other “Employer of Choice” award recipients 

To be eligible to apply to this award, you must:  

  • Submit an application 

  • United States based organization, one that is incorporated in or organized under the laws of the United States or any State.

  • Demonstrate your commitment to increasing diversity through implemented inclusive sourcing, recruiting and hiring programs.

  • Demonstrate your commitment to increasing diversity through implemented training and education programs for leaders and employees. 

  • Demonstrate your commitment to increasing diversity through implemented development and retention programs inclusive to historically underrepresented groups.

This application will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

 

Increase Diversity™ Bet on Yourself Award

This award recognizes individuals from historically underrepresented backgrounds who bet on themselves daily while journeying to the top of their profession - both inside and outside of the workplace.

Considerations for this award include: 

  • Nominations of others and self-nominations 

  • All levels of career (i.e., early, mid and experienced)

  • Traditional, career paths, non-traditional career paths and entrepreneurs 

Individuals to receive the “Bet on Yourself” award will be honored with:

  • Certificate of Recognition 

  • A special gift from Team JTC

  • Marketing and branding by JTC as an “Bet on Yourself” recipient 

  • Increase Diversity™ Award: Bet on Yourself badge/seal to add to your resume, portfolio, social media, etc. . 

  • Spotlight  feature in the a Increase Diversity™ Newsletter

  • Free coaching session with Jennifer Tardy

  • A chance to network with “Bet on Yourself” award recipients 

  • A chance to network with “Employer of Choice” award recipients 

To be eligible to apply to this award, you must: 

  • United States resident

  • A member of a historically underrepresented group 

  • Submit an application

This application will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
